Acceptance and scope
These terms apply when you access or use Animal Gacha on the web or through the Android or iOS app. If you do not agree with them, do not use the product. The Privacy Policy and Cookie and Storage Notice explain how data and storage are handled.
Audience
Animal Gacha is a general-audience product intended for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13. These terms do not create an age-verification system.
Online accounts
From version 1.2 the native app creates an online account for you automatically the first time it opens, and keeps your progress in it. You do not need to sign in to play. You can optionally link the account to Google, or to Apple on iOS, to keep your progress across devices; rankings and PvP require a linked account.
You are responsible for the device and the Google or Apple account you use to sign in. An account is personal: do not sell, share, or transfer it.
Saves, offline play, and recovery
In the native app, the progress confirmed by our server is the official version of your account. You can play offline; when you reconnect, the server checks what you did within a limited offline window. Actions that do not follow the rules or arrive too late may be discarded, and the app then adopts the server’s version.
If your account is not linked to Google or Apple, losing the device, clearing app data, or uninstalling the app can make the progress unrecoverable. Link the account to keep it safe.
If you played version 1.1 or earlier, you can import that save once into your online account until January 1, 2027. Imported saves are checked against the game’s rules and limits; values above those limits may be reduced, and a save that cannot be validated may be rejected. The same save can only be imported once.
Gameplay and virtual items
Packs, cards, DNA, rewards, levels, achievements, titles, frames, season pass rewards, PvP prizes, and other game items or progress are virtual features of Animal Gacha. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money or exchanged outside the game, and are not bank, investment, or ownership assets. You receive a limited, personal licence to use them in the game.
Their values can change through gameplay, balance updates, corrections of errors, or the measures described in these terms. Ordinary advertising views or clicks on the web are not rewarded; rewarded-ad grants are available only through the reward flow presented in the app.
Purchases and refunds
Optional purchases are offered and billed through Google Play or the App Store, with RevenueCat used to manage purchase status. The store displays the price and applicable purchase terms before payment. Basalt Works does not receive payment-card details. Purchases are granted to the online account that made them.
Billing, cancellation, and refund requests are handled under the rules and tools of the store where the purchase was made. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the items or benefits it granted may be removed from your account. For help with a purchase, contact support@basaltworks.com, but submit refund requests through the store.
Season pass subscription
The premium season pass is an auto-renewing monthly subscription billed by Google Play or the App Store. It renews automatically at the price shown in the store until you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your store account settings. Cancelling keeps the premium benefits until the paid period ends. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel the subscription.
Seasons follow your local calendar month. Rewards you reached but did not claim are delivered automatically when the season closes; premium rewards are included if your subscription was active at some point in that season. A refund ends the premium benefits immediately.
Rankings, PvP, and prizes
Rankings and PvP show your nickname, avatar, title, frame, and scores to other players. Choose a nickname that is not offensive, does not impersonate anyone, and does not reveal personal information; we may change a nickname that breaks this rule.
When no live opponent is available, PvP may match you against a ghost built from another player’s saved deck or against a computer-controlled opponent. Monthly PvP prizes are paid in DNA and frames to the top players of the month. We may remove scores, ranks, or prizes obtained through cheating, bugs, or other breaches of these terms.
Acceptable use and fair play
Use Animal Gacha only for lawful personal play. Do not modify the app or its data, cheat, exploit bugs instead of reporting them, use bots, scripts, or automation, manipulate your device clock to gain rewards, create or use multiple accounts to gain an advantage, interfere with other players or the service, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, abuse support channels, manipulate purchases or ad rewards, or generate invalid ad interactions.
Do not present Animal Gacha, its branding, or its content as your own product or as endorsed by Basalt Works, Wikimedia Commons contributors, or IUCN.
Suspension and termination
If you break these terms, we may, in proportion to the breach, remove items or progress obtained improperly, exclude you from rankings and PvP, or suspend or close the account. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time from the app’s Settings. If we ever end the online service, we will announce it in the app with reasonable notice.
Service availability and changes
Our servers, store services, rewarded ads, purchases, and support can be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, security work, network conditions, platform review, provider availability, or product updates. Features, balance, content, and platform support may change as Animal Gacha is maintained.
You can keep playing offline for a while, but saving progress to your account, linking, rankings, PvP, ad rewards, and purchases need a connection and the relevant service to be available. An update of the app may be required to keep playing online.
Code, branding, and third-party images
Animal Gacha’s proprietary code, branding, interface, game systems, and original text and artwork, including its original animal illustrations, are owned by Basalt Works or used with permission. Access to the product does not transfer ownership of that material.
Animal photographs and some other materials come from third-party contributors and remain governed by their documented Creative Commons or other free-license terms, CC0 dedications, or public-domain status. Those materials are not relicensed as proprietary Basalt Works content. See the Credits for the attribution status and per-image records.
Wildlife data, rarity, and IUCN references
Animal names, conservation status, population, habitat, measurements, and other wildlife facts are general reference content. Wildlife data can change, differ between sources, be estimated, or become outdated. Do not use the game as the sole authoritative source for research, conservation, safety, or animal-care decisions.
Gameplay rarity is informed by or correlated with conservation status, but it is a separate game-design value and not a one-to-one reproduction of IUCN categories. IUCN status is shown as a separate reference field. Animal Gacha and Basalt Works are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by IUCN.
Third-party services
Cloudflare, Formspree, Google (sign-in, AdMob, and Google Play), Apple, and RevenueCat operate their respective hosting, support, sign-in, advertising, purchase, and platform services under their own terms and policies. Linked external pages are not controlled by Animal Gacha.
Changes to these terms
Updated terms will be published with a revised content version and last-updated date. Material changes will be announced in the app before they apply; continuing to play after that means you accept them.
