Animal Gacha is made by Basalt Works, a small independent studio in Tarragona, Spain.
Who we are
Basalt Works designs and builds its own apps and games, as well as websites and software for other businesses. We’re a small team, so each app is made from start to finish by the same people: the idea, the design, the code and the pixel art.
Why Animal Gacha
We wanted a collecting game that also teaches you something. Every card is a real animal with its scientific name, habitat, region and conservation status, and every photo carries its author and licence.
That is why this website’s encyclopedia covers all 458 species in the packs, and why each card’s rarity is inspired by how threatened its species is.
